Being prepared for an emergency is no accident.

Print this page and keep it as a handy reference. We hope you will never have a dental emergency, but if it happens follow these guidelines and call SunBird Dental immediately.

Toothache: Rinse the mouth with warm salt water. Use dental floss to remove any food that might be trapped. Do NOT place aspirin on your teeth or gums. A toothache is usually a sign of infection so don't wait until it gets worse, call us right away.

Swelling: Place a cold compress on the face.

Knocked out Tooth: Gently rinse the tooth and place it back in the socket or in cool milk or water. If you can get to a dentist within 30 minutes it may be possible to save the tooth!

Bitten Tongue or Lip: Apply pressure to the area with a clean cloth or cold compress to reduce swelling. Call your doctor if bleeding persists.

Bleeding: A wet, cool tea bag placed over the area will help slow the bleeding. Call your doctor is bleeding persists.

We're just a phone call away.
