Karen Conrey, RDH
Karen brings over 30 years of experience as a dental hygienist to SunBird Dental. Her patients love her calm demeanor and professionalism, but they comment most often on her gentle touch.

   Tara McConnaughy, RDH
Tara is not only a highly qualified dental hygienist, she also has years of experience as a clinical assistant. Her enthusiasm for dentistry is amazing, and her upbeat attitude brings a smile to everyone's face. Patients love her soft touch and her infectious laugh.

   Kylie See
Kylie is a clinical assistant and is also certified as a Supragingival Scaler to provide limited hygiene services. Kylie completed the WATC Supragingival Scaling program in 2000. She is the training coordinator for SunBird Dental and staff and patients both love her cheerful, caring approach.

   Nicole Meinen
Nicole's soft voice and soothing touch is welcomed by our patients. She is a clinical assistant who genuinely loves helping people. Nicole's years of experience in retail and customer service show in her organizational and people skills.

   Rachel Sweet
Rachel practically grew up in dentistry, her father is a dentist in Hutchinson. She is also a licensed cosmetologist, but she prefers to continue her career as a clinical assistant. Rachel's last name is very fitting, she truly has a sweet personality and a very sweet smile.

   Jennifer Collins
Jennifer first joined our team as a clinical assistant, assisting both Dr. Payne and our hygiene department. She is now our Business Manager, but the responsibility of managing our busy practice doesn't keep her from having time to chat with patients and her welcoming smile and cheerful greeting is something our patients count on when they walk in our door.

   Angela Walthers
Angela also first joined our team as a clinical assistant. Her organizational skills are a big benefit there and in her current role as patient coordinator but patients really appreciate her dedication to accuracy and customer service. Angela also serves as our envoy to the McPherson Chamber of Commerce.

   Michelle Huff
Michelle is only available to our team on a part time basis because she is also a full time student, completing her pre-requisites for dental hygiene school. Michelle is a sterilization coordinator, coming in during our busiest hours to insure that treatment rooms and instruments are properly sterilized and set up for patient care.

   Melanie Apfel
Melanie took over for her sister, Marla, as our hygiene coordinator. She assists both of our hygienists in patient care, takes x-rays and impressions for models, and helps with patient hygiene education. Melanie has a terrific attitude and is great with our younger patients.

   Marla Dattilo
Marla was our hygiene coordinator until August when she was accepted into the dental hygiene program at Wichita State University. She now works on Saturdays, insuring that our patients receive courtesy reminders of when they are due for hygiene visits. She also takes care of maintaining our equipment and treatment rooms. We miss Marla's cheerful voice and can-do attitude on a daily basis but we're thrilled that she is continuing her dental career.

   Lindsey Kaufman
Lindsey is another full time student, completing her pre-requisites for dental hygiene school. Lindsey alternates with Michelle as a sterilization coordinator, to insure that treatment rooms and instruments are properly sterilized and set up for patient care.
