Keeping Patients Smiling for Life Strong, healthy teeth are a very important factor in your
health and quality of life. In fact, a phone survey of 1,000
adults found that 90% of the respondents believe an attractive smile
is an asset to one’s career and 58% said they were more likely to
trust someone with an attractive smile. And a study performed
by the Mayo Clinic found that patients who keep their natural teeth
actually live longer! At SunBird Dental we understand the connection
between a healthy, beautiful smile and our patient's physical well
being and personal self confidence.
Personalized
Attention All of our patients were created equal,
but they weren't created the same. You are a unique person and the
right treatment for your dental conditions may not be right for
anyone else. When designing a plan for optimum care,
Dr. Payne takes into account such factors as your bite, the amount
of force the teeth will have to withstand, your anatomy, the natural
shape of your teeth, your general health and any medications you may
be taking. These factors may also alter the ideal order for
treatment completion as well as the method and materials we use to
complete your treatment.
Specialty Referrals - Coordinating Your
Care For any patient there may be treatment needs
that Dr. Payne feels would be better addressed by a specialist. If
that should be the case, we coordinate that treatment very carefully
with the specialist of your choice. We have specialists we work with
regularly whom we feel confident recommending, but ultimately you
make the decision. Regardless of the doctor you will be seeing, we
will provide a letter of introduction that outlines your condition
and treatment history as well as our observations. If appropriate,
x-rays and other records can be transferred so that you will not
have the additional time and expense of new records.
Specialists with whom we often work and to whom we refer always
respond by providing copies of treatment recommendations and history
for our files. So regardless of whether treatment is performed in
our office or elsewhere we will be monitoring your progress and
coordinating your care to make sure you get the best.
