At SunBird Dental, our treatment philosophy has

unusual for conditions such as diabetes, hormone imbalances and oral
cancers to be first detected during a dental examination. Other
factors, such as stress and diet impact your dental health as
well.
Many dental conditions can also
negatively affect your general health. Tooth pain, poor occlusion
(bite), or ill-fitting dentures or partial dentures can cause you to
change the foods you eat or prevent proper chewing and digestion.
This can be very detrimental to overall nutrition. The level of
bacteria in the mouth can cause periodontal disease, which leads to
tooth loss and has been linked to such systemic diseases as heart
disease and low birth-weight baby syndrome.
