From our treatment room windows you can watch the ducks and geese congregate on the water while you relax on space age padded chairs and listen to music over your own set of headphones.

Dr. William Payne has served the McPherson community since 1979. His whole person approach to dental care, his dedication to patient comfort, and his commitment to using modern technology to deliver the best dentistry can offer, attracts patients from all over Kansas and even from surrounding states.
Dr. Payne was born in Colorado Springs, CO and raised in Raytown, MO. After more than four years in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a Hospital Corpsman in Vietnam, he returned to Kansas City. He was a Registered Medical Technologist at St. Luke's Hospital before enrolling in UMKC Dental School.
He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UMKC in 1979 and taught there for a year before beginning private practice in McPherson. He continued his commitment to the U.S. Navy, serving for 23 years in the Navy Reserves Dental Corps and retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. He and his wife, Teresa, have raised three children in McPherson and Teresa, a Registered Nurse, heads up the OSHA coordination and safety training at SunBird Dental.
